Oliver completed his Bachelor of Laws at Central Queensland University and obtained his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Oliver has a passion for providing high-level advocacy for his clients and is experienced in a variety of matters across the Magistrates Court, District Court, and Supreme Court of Queensland.
In addition to his Court experience, Oliver has a broad range of skills obtained while working in commercial law and as project manager on nationwide projects across Australia and New Zealand. In his free time, Oliver plays as a drummer for a small Brisbane-based band.
To further his strong interest in advocacy, prior to being admitted as a lawyer, Oliver shadowed a barrister in criminal law cases, which strengthened his interest in criminal law and justice. He is drawn to the practice of criminal law due to the opportunities it provides him to help clients in a meaningful way and make a direct impact in their lives.
He understands that traffic, criminal, and domestic violence matters can not only be a major stressor in a person’s life but also on those around them. He prides himself on his ability to explain complex legal concepts in a way that clients can readily understand and thereby make the Court process easier. Oliver is motivated to continually develop his skills and knowledge in the practice of criminal law so as to always provide the highest level of service to his clients.
Oliver appears in Courts most mornings across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast regions.
