Junior Litigation Lawyer | 1-2 years PAE

Aitken Whyte Lawyers are looking for a Junior Litigation Lawyer to join our innovative law firm providing high-quality legal services, solutions, and results to our varied and valued client base.

We operate across many areas of the law including Business and Commercial, Litigation and Disputes, Employment Law, Criminal Law, Wills, Estates, Property, and Conveyancing.

This position will provide a junior lawyer with significant, varied, and challenging legal experience to get you on your way in your chosen profession.

About The Role

You will work across a range of practice areas, including in commercial law, dispute resolution, litigation, employment, estates, property, wills and conveyancing.

The position will provide the mentoring and direction your experience requires from the Solicitor Director, Senior Associate and Associate. You will work on your own files under relevant supervision and have direct contact with the clients you are working for.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

The Successful Candidate

The right candidate may have general practice experience and will be well-regarded. Preference will be given to a candidate who has up to 1 or 2 years of experience as well as knowledge and experience across several of the areas above, particularly commercial, litigation, and employment. Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills are essential, as the busy nature of the position mandates.

While prior experience is highly desirable, candidates who have relatively recently been admitted but have exceptional talents in other areas will be considered.

You must hold a current practising certificate to apply for this position or be entitled to immediately obtain one. A licence is also a core requirement.
