Simona Varga is a solicitor practicing in criminal law at Aitken Whyte Lawyers. Simona’s experience includes criminal defence, domestic violence applications, traffic offences and driver licence applications.
Simona undertook her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Practical Legal Training at the Queensland University of Technology.
Simona is drawn to the practice of criminal law due to the opportunities it provides her to help clients in a meaningful way and make a direct impact in their lives. She is a strong believer that legal services should be accessible and delivers the highest level of service to every client.
She understands the real-world issues that can often lead to offending and involvement with the criminal justice system. Conscious of this, she approaches each client with understanding and compassion and is there to clearly explain each step of the process as their matter progresses.
Simona possesses strong advocacy skills and is able to adapt under pressure when making submissions to the Court on behalf of clients. Her background in journalism during her early career means she is extremely organised with strong communications skills. These skills allow her to effectively communicate with clients, court staff, legal practitioners, and police.
